The Winds of Change

The winds of change have been blowing hard in my life. Blowing all good things my way too!

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I have been accepted to the RN program at KCC. This is an amazing blessing and I believe truly an act of God. I had been on the part time, Spring '08 list for the last three years. Out of curiousity I emailed the admissions office to find out what it would take to move to the full time list for Fall '07. I was informed that they do not typically let people move lists but they would make an exception for me, I just needed to be aware that with the switch I would be re-ranked. Meaning: I would have to wait another 2-3 years to get in. One month later, I got my letter-I AM IN! God you are so good!

So with this came a second job-just offered to me, I hadn't even started looking for one yet. I'm cleaning a bank and a doctor's office 5 days a week making some extra moolah to save for school days and days when I'm no longer working full time. I'm moving home to save money, not paying rent or utilities. The timing couldn't have been any better, I'll move in just as my friend needs an apartment and can move in to mine. My brother will be moving out to start PA school and my soon to be sister in law and I will bond over gallons of paint, brushes and rollers, and cleaning supplies to make the basement at my parents my new home. To top it all off, my bosses were very supportive of this change in life and are willing to accomodate me this upcoming summer so that I can start taking classes and still work. Phew....

All of this is very scary and yet very exciting at the same time. I can't wait to see what the next phase in life has in store for me. It is such a good feeling to know that God is in control and that by being obedient, so many blessings are coming my way, making this transition easier. I have had so many of my amazing friends offer support and prayer. For that I can never say enough "thanks yous"! And, I finally found peace in some situations in my life. The ones that never worked out, my heart broke over, etc...I now know that God needs me and that had those things happened, I wouldn't have been available the way He needed me to be. And so, I'm holding on because sometimes the wind blows harder than I expect. And yet, I know that it will be all good things blowing my way.
